    Excellent shot David I like the wing position and bg ... I might give it a bit more selective sharpening to the head and neck.

    Hi David, an excellent shot, but would also echo James comments. I would also be tempted to tweak the curves a fraction, just to darken it a fraction as it will bring the bird out IMHO.

    David, Really beautiful background and pose. Nice details and agree a bit more sharpening but just a bit, very nicely done!!

    I like the light, angle, eye contact and BG. Another vote for more sharpening, do you have images in this series with wings all the way up or down?

    Hey David,
    Finally we got some light! I like the wing position as it has no shaows cast on any other side....but I'm pretty sure with motor drive you nailed all the other wing positions too!

    Thanks everyone. The tif file is plenty sharp, but it does look like the web jpg could use a touch more. Personally I prefer the wings just a bit tilted up rather than all the way up. I have a shot from this series with wings down, but there is a distracting tree in the background. I have a wings down shot from another crane I'll post later.
