A striking image Michael... the blue and white and yellow make a dramatic color contrast. The somewhat gawky pose doesn't show the bird in his most beautiful posture, but the action (and his catch) really out-weigh that for me. Good control of the whites gives us excellent feather details especially in the outstretched left wing... quite lovely that. Some NR on the BG might improve it I think. And it is too tight a frame, but that would sure not have kept me from pulling the trigger.
Kenn, this was part of a sequence. I guess I need to practice tracking and zooming out at the same time to give me more space when they come towards you.
Wonderful action captured in this image Michael and excellent exposure. My only wish would be for a tad more canvas on the bottom. Great timing and many thanks for sharing.
