    The tree branch was in the snow with a covering of ice.
    Cloned out some dirt and rocks in the snow.

    Canon 50D
    lens 600mm f/4.0

    ISO 320 f/6.3 1/200

    Suggestions?

    Nice pose and head turn Gary! A juvenile Gray-crowned? Another reason for me to visit your neck of the woods:D.

    Gary, I like the high key BG and the pose. The head turn looks nice to me. I't's a bit tight on top and I might take a tiny sliver off the left. For web presentation I think a tiny 10 pixel black border helps w/ high-key images so that the viewer can see clearly where the edges are. Very nice shot.

    This species is pretty high up on my wishlist. I like the look-back pose and sharpness but would probably make it a vertical crop, as presented the bird is a bit tight in the frame and too centered for my taste.
