These little ones are very busy and lightning fast. I was very happy with getting this shot on take-off. Taken at the Mankwe hide in the Pilanesberg National Park.

Gerrie, the blacks seems to have very few details in my monitor and I suggest to perform a selective levels adjustment in the blacks to extract more details. this tiny birds are really fast and you did a pretty good job capturing this guy. We have a feral population of yellow bishops in Spain and they are a nightmare for photography, tiny, fast, and with that intense yellow and black plumage really difficult to expose (I have several images of them in my blog, by the way).
The action is fantastic, well done

We have lots of these and the yellow ones where I live, I have never been fast enough to get a worthwhile image. A nightmare for photography is an apt description. I am happy to see this even though it is not perfect, a good effort!

We also have a feral population here in Puerto Rico. During breeding season they have beautiful flying displays. Your photo is good, but i think a fill flash was needed .

Great reflexes Gerrie, but I feel the image is a bit underexposed?
