Default Theme: Patterns - Chive Flowers

I photographed these chive flowers in my mom's herb garden. I used selective color and a photo filter adjustment layer to give a yellow tint to the colors. I then softened the image using an orton effect, a blur overlay, and a few image overlays at lower opacities which I moved around a little. Finally I added a vignette. Any C&C are welcome!

Beautiful soft feel to this Christopher. I like the low opacity overlays along w/ the orton. Nice work.

Nice composition, Christopher. I like the soft color. I think the vignette helps to focus on the center which is very nice.

ditto all of the above....the image puts me right there in the garden.
Good choice on the coloration....the vignette is effective IMO.

Just for another thought, often a vignette faded to monochrome can be interesting.
And I dodged a few highlights for a bit of definition. Just playing.....still on first cup of coffee!!

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone. Much appreciated.

Thanks, Dave, for the repost. I like what you did a lot, though I still like my original version too. I had never thought of trying a monochromatic vignette; can't wait to try it on some images. :)

Christopher, I like the feel to this. Both vignettes are nice. I've never tried a monochromatic vignette but I
will! (Your mom must have a heck of an herb garden)

Thanks for commenting Cheryl and Jackie. Much appreciated!

Cheryl, The herb garden is fair-sized. We also have two large vegetable gardens.
