    Hi Folks:

This a sketch of the very rare Flame-colored Tanager that has come up from Mexico the last 5 years and nests at Madera Kubo B&B in Madera Canyon, AZ. This was the first one to arrive the last week in March 2008. I also got a photo of the first one to arrive in 2009 the last week of April. It usually hangs around until August.

    CC's welcome and always appreciated

Gus - I really like the sketch and the original is incredible. What a gorgeous bird!

Gus, I agree w/ Cheryl-I really like the sketch and the bird is lovely! I toned down a few spots and adj. the comp. Hope you like it. Anyway a really nice colorful image and your sketch came out gorgeous! Do wish for a bit more head turn.

Beautiful bird and image! The color of the bird in the original with the orange is gorgeous. The sketched version is also very nice; it probably would have been nicer without the orange IMHO.
