This is the fourth and final in the Sanibel plover series from last week (I didn't get any Snowys to make it 5). I have another view from a lower angle, which would have been nice here, but I thought I'd share the determined walking pose of this one. Please confirm the species -- this guy seems to have longer legs and somewhat different plumage pattern than other BBPLs I've seen, but he may have just gone for a bath. C&C appreciated.

Hey Bill, I too like the long-legged striding pose. Ideally a lower angle would have been better (I see you mention you have images with lower angle). Areas of the image look oversharpened - see feathers near the tail, and there is an odd spotted pattern in the eye. Looks like a BBPL to me - a worn adult that should look better in the spring with a fresher plumage ;-)

I like the walking pose and eye contact and agree that a lower angle would have made it stronger. I would tone down the whites on the head some and there is a slight S/H halo around the beak.

Thanks Daniel and Axel. Now that you mention it I do see a bit of a halo, and some oversharpening. I've found that I lose a bit of sharpness when I post, so I've tended to push the sharpening of the final jpeg, and sometimes probably overdo it.

Nice detail and sharpness, I agree on a lower angle and maybe some cw rotation.
