This is a similar theme title but a different image and location. This is an image of wild berries taken at Merritt Island NWR.

Modification includes; Brightness & Contrast, B&W Covertion w/ color adjustment, Diffused Glow, Dry Brush, Gaussian Blur, Canvas Texture, Variations to get the sepia tone.

    Enjoy!

Mark, I find the bright highlights a bit distracting and if I am to be perfectly honest I don't care for the colors. This is a personal preference and others may feel differently. I do like the texture in the BG and I find the single leaf hanging down from the top a bit distracting.

Thank you for viewing and comment Denise.

You can say what you want to. As you know, that is the intent of "critique". ;)

I found the highlights to be a pattern of nature, with the sun interacting with the subject. But understand your view.

The colors are a mutation with the sepia tone. I felt it gives an olde age, renaissance feel to it.

The single leaf again was from the feel I had with the renaissance colors. If gone, it might not matter. However, I didn’t have a problem with it, as that area of the image would be an open void space without it.

I’m not a renaissance man, but when I saw the colors and feel of the “grapes” it reminded me of olde images of a winery. And we both know what a little grape juice can do to your imagination! ;) :o :D

But again, different strokes for different folks!

I respect your vision, though not always in line with mine. :)

It's funny Mark, because the more I look at it the more I am liking the color. I think it's the harshness on some of the berries that throws the color intent off.

Your getting closer to the "vision" :D

I agree totally with that assessment on it grows on you. I didn't want to post it and that is why I created the other berries image. But looking at it this week, since I did originally it, a number of times. Well ... you get what was my original vision!

    Make A Great Day! ;)

Mark and Denise - I had the same feeling about this image. The first time I opened it I wasn't sure I liked it
but this time I "get it". It does have an old world feel to it and I like the lighting.

I wasn't sure at first either but then realized the "old world" feel to it. I do think a slightly more yellowish cast to the gold tones would work, too, but I don't have a problem with where it is now.
