Captured at Merritt Island a few days ago. While the spoonbills there seem to get all their deserved glory, I found this Woodstork's ruffled feathers and pink feet out of the water to be of interest.
Nikon D200, 70-200 w/ 1.7 TC. Focal Length 320. ISO 320. Made around 11 a.m. and a cold (43 degrees) morning.
Ariene this is not only interesting but a genuine beauty !!!!! Captured a perfect stride Love the foot just off the ground Bird feels a little tight in frame and need to sharpen more A lower angle would be a big improvement which from your position would have not been possible btw exposure sure looks good !!!
I liek the pose, but as the whites are well exposed, the rest of the frame appears a little dark. Perhaps the technique described by Fabs, making a "mini HDR" photo would help with this one.
