I played with my tropical fish tonight, trying for some macro stuff. Didn't do too well in the macro dept. I had to come up with something for my trouble. So, This is a cropped fish eye that I oversharpened and then ran through Topazclean with some exaggerated settings. The original tech were, ISO 200, F38, 1/250th, Nikon D300, Nikkor 105 macro. C&C welcome.

This is your fish, on drugs! :) GREAT color and texture effect, reminds me of high school. Why this is I am not sure. I would like to try this with some of my photos, but I dont know if there is an equivalent in Bridge or Light room or CS3?? Very fun image, Dan.

Dan, This is wild! The colors are vibrant and it is an all around fun image! I'm not in love w/ the black area to the right, not sure if you can clone or mask some over it. Very neat!!
Kat, You can download a free trial of all the Topaz products, just google Topaz. That way try it out and see if you like it.Most of their programs are reasonable priced.

Thanks Denise, I will try that. I have seen it referred to a bit here, so it must be good!

    Nice image and application Dan.

And your Pharmacist probably knows why!!! ;)

I would agree with Denise on the dark area and would try the cloning over cropping as the compostion needs that area, in my view.

But nice image non the less.

Thanks for the comments. Here's a repost with the black area fixed. It does look better to me! Thanks again for the suggestions.

Great repost! Let me just say that if I have colorful nightmares tonight of a giant fish chasing me I'll know who to blame. Awesome image!
