    I believe that the back light makes this shot. Nice capture

    Stuart, the light on the wings captured my attention right away, so I think it works here. Well captured. I like the angle of view, just wished the bg was less busy.

    Back light works well here making the wings transparent. A better head angle would have improved the image.

    Lovely backlight through the wings, posture great too. Perhaps a little more space on the right of the image? I would clone out the distracting light area in the top corner, as well as the two vertical lines in the background. Having done that add a bit of blur to the background and I think you will have a striking image!

    Wonderful action and lighting in this image. Agree a tad more of a head turn would be nice . Fine work Stuart !!!

    I love the action and the rim lighting here, the head angle doesn't bother me as his open beak and display are clearly aimed at something besides you.
