Pretty bird. Good exposure. Maybe a tad more sharpening. I would crop some off the top of the frame. DOF is a little lacking; consider using ISO 400 and stopping down your aperture. Also, this photo belongs in the hand of man section of BPN due to the barbed wire fence.

You did very well with an awkward pose. Yes to the top-crop. If you work large, you could clean up the bill with the patch tool.

I'd be tickled with this bird. As suggested....a little off the top and more DOF. Good exposure and nice detail.....especially to differentiate the eye from the eye band.
