Seemed like they were arguing over something.....looked like humans :-)
40D. 300 f/4 non-is. iso 640. f/4. 1/125 hand-held. 60-70% crop. PP: tweaked the color a bit using color temp. white balance. But they were spectacular in the field as well. Some curves work to create the perfect blacks. Some NR via Neatimage.
I included the opposite bank as without it, it was becoming too pano for my tastes.
I like the interaction, colors and silhouettes, makes you wonder what was going on. Personally, I might remove the bank and think it looks very good without it, too.
First vote for the original post I am a big fan of strips of color at the top (or bottom). Loved your title. There are a few too many birds for a contest winner, the ones that merge with the most prominent ones.
