    Default Photoshop Selection tool Question

I would like to know how to make the moving B&W lines disappear when using the selection tool?

    Ctrl(Apple)-h

It will hide guides and other things too though. Unless you mean while you are drawing, then I can't help.

If you mean deselect something you've selected, it's Command D on Apple computers.

With my PC, it's control-D, or you can click "select" on the top menu bar and click "deselect"

Agree with above - Cmd(Ctrl) H to Hide the marching ants outline of a selection, Cmd(Ctrl) D to Deselect a selection - hope that's what you're asking about

Here is a cool tip while we are on the Hide command Ctrl H to remove the "marching ants"

When using the text tool (T) double left click the mouse on the text to select, then use the Hide selection command Ctrl H, click in either the font box or pt sizing box and use the up/down arrows to see the font or text size change in real time. BTW- you really do not have to use the Hide selection control to do this, but it shows the text unobstructed ;)

    Best and Happy Post-production,

    Chas

Caleb, The fastest way is the Esc key. Tap it once and they are gone!

    Best,
