    Default Common Redpoll on alder

I got an image of a Common Redpoll that was not at a feeder recently. The easiest way I could find to crop it and avoid a lot of out-of-focus branches was this one, but I thought it better to leave the alder cones in as part of the image.

D300, Tamron 200-500, handheld, 1/800, f8.0, ISO 1600, spot-metered. Cropped in LR, slight Noise Ninja, sharpened in Preview.

    Comments and advice?

    Thanks,

    Richard

Hi Richard The perch is competing with the bird Does look good but is overpowering I like the pose and bg very much Do think there is something going on with the processing If you send me a big file with as little compression as possible will give it a try Out in a workshop tomorrow but will get to it when I return home !!!!
