    Definitely a colorful subject, but it appears to be lost in the brightnesss of the background.

    Perhaps some brightening of the head area would open it up?

    Great colors, sharpness and eye contact look good, too. I wish the BG were a bit more uniform and might lighten the eye.

    Really beautiful colorful image. Nice pose and details. I agree w/ lightening the eye just a bit. Another really nice Kingfisher image!!

    Sharp and vibrant but the blues are too purple. And yes, the eye and the eye socket could stand to be lightened. Perfect pose and head angle.

    Fabulous shot, what Colours! great looking Kingfisher, you have got him really close considering the focal length. Maybe selective shadow-highlighting on the eye area will enhance it even more further
