Winter plumage Dunlin photographed Sunday on it's own little island (actually sharing it with some snail buddies as the tide was coming in late in the afternoon.

Jim, I love it! The raised toe is nice. I like the pose and the sharp details. The rock island with the small snails is fantastic and makes this very special!!
The perch with snails and calm water make this one for me. Sharpness and eye contact look good, too. If anything a better light angle would have made it even stronger.
