Well I know I said no more Tiger images, but this was taken in the same location, Bandhavgarh, does that count?:D

This mother (Rhesus monkey) was just cradling her new born on one of the fallen logs in the forest as the rest of the troop played around. Light was really good with just the perfect BG and using a fixed lens which helped diffuse the whole area. Minor 10% crop from the original. Little blemishes have been removed, BUT minimal!

BTW It has just won an award too :D

Hi Steve, This is very nice in my opinion. The composition is pleasing. The pose, sharpness, and exposure all look spot on. The moment captured provides quite mood. All good here. Thanks very much for sharing.

Great color and light and a very nice clean background. Really like the eyes of the adult and the young.

Lovely eye contact. Fine portrait. Which award is that?

I don't stop for these macaques and langurs simply because I am after tigers. It is a fact that, common subjects like these gives the photographer more chances to get an intimate image. However, most of the times photographers ignore these opportunities.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi
