Very cool, Mark. Any chance you could bring out more of the back foot that is missing?
Mark, This is great! I love the pose and the applied effects(the whole list of them). I'm liking the fact that the feet are not all connected and perfect I think it adds to the image, but just a tiny bit more as Jules suggested on the back foot.
Thank you Julie and Denise for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.
I knew that was going to be the big one! :(
Attached is the original image, full frame, as shot. Note the back hoofs are below the slight ridge. I could clone in the front to the back, but as the theme is patterns, not portraits, I felt the pattern was very apparent. The removal of all BG adds to that to me. I could have left the ridge there, but it would not be part of the vision for this theme. Not that your wrong, but the theme gave me the vision and the image seemed to match that. I do clone if needed, but prefer to keep things as they are, except for the abstract and the needs of the vision.
Reminds me of a tale that Dewitt Jones told, at a seminar that I attended, about the Chinese artisans that add a flaw to an otherwise perfect piece of pottery to symbolize that perfection does not exist. By doing so, they create the flaw to address the need for it.
At least you didn't notice the angry women in there! ;) :D
Mark, I really like your treatment - it looks like a wire sculpture. Very neat:)

Very nice, Mark. Great subject for patterns and very nice effect. I too would have loved to see the hind legs complete... may be using the same poster edge effect on the fg grass and paint a few lines. Just a thought...
Very nice treatment, Mark. Did an excellent job showcasing the zebra's pattern. Personally I would have liked to see all the hooves complete, but that's just me. It's still a very nice image regardless!
Mark...I looked through all my photos, to see if I had one of a Zebra. Your image fits the theme perfectly..well done.
One idea to fix the missing hooves (if you want to), I cloned all the hooves (using one hoof), then used an image of prairie grasses, pasted into a mask and adjusted where I like the grasses the most, you can see one hoof fairly well and just a hint of another one. I don't have your software so matching grasses to your image tough.

Might do the clone later. Appreciate the thought.
