Last week at Bunche Beach, FL where there were lots of small shorebirds at low tide. C&C greatly appreciated.

I like the pose and head angle. Since the light was a bit harsh, I might tone down the highlights a bit.

Love this. Great detail, clarity, and focus. Bright whites with good tone and detail. Maybe could tone the white down a bit? But nothing wrong as it is either IMHO.

Thanks Axel and James. The light was indeed a bit harsh; low tide didn't coincide with best light, so I had to compromise on both and made this image about 2 hours before sunset on a bright day. I did tone down the highlights some, but probably not enough. I'll try to reduce them a bit further. I appreciate the comments.

Looks like lots of light Bill, so maybe a lower iso? very nice clean shot.

Well composed with excellent detail. You did well considering the harsh light.

What I really like about this image is the perfect view of the "semi-palm". Harsh light dealt best you could.

Thanks Daniel. I made a number of images of this guy and his cousins on the beach that afternoon. You guessed the reason I chose to post this one -- it clearly shows the 'semi-palm' better than the others.

Thanks Kiran. I agree about the low angle. I was as low as I could get without getting my whole body in the mud -- I find it easier to crawl around on a sandy beach than on mudflats -- but next time I guess I'll have to get dirtier to get down to his eye level.
