    Default Teenage kudu

Found this guy willing to pose in Aug 2008 in Kruger NP near Punda Maria camp, on my way out. In my experience adult kudu bulls are notoriously difficult to get to pose properly; I mostly end up with a backside view or horns in a bush:), so this willing youngster had me reach for the camera.
From the horn growth he is 14-17 months old. I did not clean up his ears from ticks; he also has a hole in one ear, probably torn it on a thorn bush. This shows the thick vegetation of northern Kruger. Another nat history shot. C&C welcome as always; thanks for looking!
    Techs:

Very true, I have only one decent facing Kudu bull from many trips to Sth/East Africa.:(

Killer Kudu, Betsie. Dead on - razor sharp - beautiful portrait. I like.

Hi Betsie, I really enjoy these portrait type images, especially Kudu and impala. Great eye contact, and I like the way the ears follow the curvature of the horns. Well captured.

Thanks all for encouraging comments. Will see if I can scratch up a reasonably looking nyala bull- another antelope with a fondness for posing in terrible light and hiding in good light:)
