    Default Yet another bearded vulture.....

This will be the last BV post for a while (till I get to Giant's again and find "better" ones:)). Similar to the juvenile in pose, therefore I selected a pano crop as well. BG was the newly green grassland opposite the hide.
The feet and wing edges came out soft; it looks as if covered with un-erased blur but is like that on original image.

    Techs:
Camera Model: Canon EOS-1D Mark II N
    Date/Time: 2009:10:12 09:33:17
    Shutter speed: 1/2000 sec
    Aperture: 5.6
    Exposure mode: Av
    Exposure compensation: +1/3
    Flash: Off
    Metering mode: Evaluative
    Drive mode: Continuous
    ISO: 400
    Lens: EF500mm f/4.5L USM
    Focal length: 500mm

    C&C welcome; thx for looking.

Betsie...these photos rock. Since it is looking down, I suggest more room below and crop a little from the right. That will make it a little less pano but still pano enough.

I like the angle, pose, eye contact and BG but would probably go with a more traditional crop.

Hi Betsie, The head angle and resulting eye contact makes this image for me. Your exposure looks good. I also like the background. My personal preference would be a view of the bird that showed either more of the top or bottom of the wings. Thanks for sharing.
