    Default Theme: Line of Acorns

I took out my acorns yesterday in the hopes of creating some good compositions for this theme. This was the best one that I've come up with so far. I used hue/saturation and a curves layer to create the sepia tone. I also applied the dry brush filter, added a rust texture from one of my photos, and added a vignette.

Christopher, you have gotten more great images out of these acorns! I think this might be one of your best. Very cool tone and feel to this one and the composition seems to be right on the money.

    Nice image and application, Christopher.

Might want to adjust the acron on the left, as it is not consistent with the positioning of the others as to "pitch and roll" ;). But nice image none the less.

Christopher, Really nicely done. The toning and the composition I like alot. I'm not crazy about the shadows, but they are not deal killers to me. The treatment is very subtle and complimentary.

Thanks Jules, Mark, and Denise for commenting. Much appreciated! Denise, I'm not too fond of the shadows myself, but it wasn't possible to rotate the line to eliminate them because then the acorns would have fallen off the tree root I had placed them on.
