We have an overwintering guest here in Ottawa. This Hermit Thrush has been hanging around a local feeder, surviving the cold weather by eating chunks of fallen suet on the ground. This the most "out in the open" I could get it, and this is the photograph with the least amount of distracting background elements. Even with those unsightly OOF branches I still like the image as one would not normally associate this species with snow, especially sprinkled on its head! I am seriously thinking of eliminating the two snowflakes near the tail.
I like this one a lot, the way you have framed the bird between the two bigger branches. I also like the raised tail and the excellent sharpness. I wish for a slightly better head angle...
later and love, artie

I like this image alot. For one thing, this species is a favorite of mine, and to have him in a winter scene is a bit unusual. Well done. (The flakes by the tail are fine with me.)
