    Good looking bird Ray !!

Love the low angle, bg and fine feather detail !! Might only give a little more space around the bird If he stays around might want to try a full head shot .. neat showing that short beak !!!

Hi Ray - I always see Ross's as seeming gentle and somewhat demure, probably all anthropomorphic thinking, but the posture of the bird seems to really bring out this aspect of the species. Agree with Alfred's comments - the low angle is just dynamite. If it were my image I would try to tone down the yellow-green in the bg, I feel like it competes with the white. Great to have the opportunity to work on a series of images of this particular bird, even if they are likely to be of it's left side only (smile).
    Congrats on a lovely image.
    Cheers

Love the sharpness, the details, the low angle, and very good exposure on the white. Wish the right leg is not in shadow and might try to tone down the background a little.

Nice picture, love the texture in the whites. Might open-up a bit to dilute BG and blur tiny bit of FG - well done.
Gail, your thinking was correct to start with IMO - these are not things that belong only to humans, they are characters of all animals - which we are classified as well "Homo sapiens".

Thanks for suggestions and encouragement. After I posted it I thought it needed a little more room. Someone else had convinced me not to tone the BKGR down. But I agree it would be better if it was.

    thanks Ray
