    Default Fluffy Chickadee

Looks like this little fella is fluffing up his coat for the long winter. Cloned out a branch on the bottom right and behind. Morning light, 400/5.6 with 1.4TC. EXIF Intact.

I was really struck by how fluffy he looks and liked the blue/gray background against the color of the chickadee.

Birds aure do look cute when fluffing up their feathers! Nice pose. A bit of a steep angle - chickadees are very easy to lure down to eye level with a low perch placed close to seeds. Although I ike the colours of the BG I'm not crazy about the OOF branch brushing up against the bird. Good job on the exposure, and good comp.

    Hi Jim,
although there is a good eye contact, I agree with Daniel, that a lower branch was better, to bring the bird at eye level.
Colors are nice and the exposure and sharpnes looks good to me.
    Keep them coming!
