    Hi Alexander,

    I think your macro photography here looks pretty good. Background and "perch" are excellent. The detail in the beetle is very good, particularly for f/10. It looks like you toned down the shiny, hot spot along the side of the beetle. Not bad at all.

    Not bad at all, Alexander! I would have put the stem on a little more of a diagonal and maybe turned the beetle to be horizontal instead of vertical but that's all personal preference. I'd tone down the hot spots a little more - leave the shine but take it down another notch so it looks like good lighting and not flash.

    Excellent DOF and a very nice OOF background to go with it!
