Caught this little guy bottom feeding early this morning (they will eat most anything). I hope I have the black/white exposure worked out OK. A very slight crop, a double dose of selective NR, some USM and other tweaks . . .
not bad, wendell. this is a tough bird!! those beaks always blow out, but there seems to be some detail in there so nice job. light looks good too. nice feather detail. i like it!
Hi Wendell, trying to photograph a Coot in bright light is a brave act and you did well with the exposure here; I love watching these guys antics and mostly try to capture them in softer light.
Hi Wendell Feather detail is really nice, great job on the shadow detail !!! Would take some from the top and give a little left/right to show the rings !!! Excellent image !!
