Another shot taken in the Kalahari. These blokes were quite active around our tents in one of the camps.

Very cool mongoose shot, Morkel. You handled that light coming in from the left well on both the highlight and shadow side. I bet this image conveys just what your eyes saw and I'm glad you didn't try to change that. I love the critter's eye, with that horizontal pupil and the fur detail is excellent. It would be nice to cut out some of that foreground blur but I can see where that would put you almost into a 1:1 AR as you have already gone to 8:10 or so to keep from going too high over the head. Nice shot!

Great eye contact! Like how you kept detail in the shadow area as well. The red sand also adds a nice splash of color.

Hey Mork, great direct eye contact, and interesting shape of pupils they have.

Morkel, beautiful sidelighting with nice fur detail and sharpness. I have never noticed the pupil shape before:). I am always amazed how the soft light turns the red Kalahari sand into a soft pink.

I like the warm soft colors of this one and the head on eye contact is pretty sweet. Sharpness is good too.
