    Michael, I added the word theme to your image as it is eligible for the contest. I like the cut-out filter and find it hard to get good results sometimes. I think this looks fantastic and I can totally tell what it is-yet it has a bit of abstract mystery to it. Well done.

    nice work Michael....the cool blue/gray tones are most powerful.

    Great use of the cut-out filter, Michael. It gives the image a nice abstract quality while still leaving the subject recognizable. Well done.

    Agree with all that has been said. The treatment is perfectly done. I love the colors and that it is so simple, yet has just enough detail to identify the structures.
