    This is a juvenile Red capped Parrot Purpuriecephalus spurius from Perth Western Australia.

    Sharp, good exposure and head angle, fine COMP, but it does not work for me. Overall it is very busy and the lores (the area between the eye and the bill) are a mess. As a general rule if the perch or any vegetation is in front of the plane of the bird and is grossly oof like the needles on the right frame edge the image will usually be wrecked. Best way to combat it is with very high dof if at all possible to sharpen up the offending stuff.
