Since I first saw these crazy looking birds, I tried to capture that feeling, but always failed.
This image is by now my best result, but I am not sure, if it works for anybody else?

Any Comments very welcome and much appreciated.
Thanks for stopping at my image

    This is a Secretary-bird. :)
Awesome looking face. Very nice image with lots of detail. Love the sharpness of the eye.
Was it taken in the wild?

What a great portrait and interesting looking subject! The colors and details are excellent! If it were mine, I'd take a little off the top since it's so tight everywhere else -- just personal preference. Very nice!

superb portrait of the secretary-bird...I loved the fact that both eyes are seen JUST enough...nice hairdo with gr8 details...Personally I don't mind the space at the top as it balances out the space on the right...

    -Cheers,
    Rohan

Thanks for looking at my image and the positive comments.
@ Szimi: no, I am sorry but it is not Wildlife. I've been in Southafrica, where it could be possible to see one, but I never did.
I took the image in England during a workshop with Chris Weston.

It looks like it just came out of a hair appointment! Good or bad I don't know. I like everything in the shot and would keep it as is.

Thanks for looking at the image and commenting it! It's always great to learn from you!
@ Jackie: no, they don't wear their hair always like that. The bird was a bit upset, I think, so it raised the feathers and became that special look!
