    lovely shot, doug well caught.
the 7d seems a great camera wish it would of been out when i brought my d300, would of liked to have felt the difference.
wish i coud get shutter speeds that high here in the uk but not chance.

Doug, I like the flying posture, together with the open beak. This is sharp, and I would maybe take a bit off the bottom.

Wow Doug, hand held 800, that's impressive all in itself, I see 1/5000 ought to freeze motion, but simply tracking and maintaining focus is a task. Great job, and everything works here.

Nice catch at mid-scream, Doug! I didn't see an arca swiss plate on that lens in your Friends and Family photo so I should have known you'd be hand-holding the beast.

Good detective work Danny! I almost never use a tripod. Too much BIF at the Bosque to bother with a tripod! I spent the entire week hand holding.

Nice shot Doug, love the open beak which is the highlight of this photo. Eye contact is pretty good, it's a bit grainy in the dark areas, perhaps another pass of NR is worth trying?
