My brother took the lens with him upcountry so no shooting this week. So I have time to play around with Photoshop, this is the same picture as http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=50428 but with one more OOF bird at the wings tip remove. How does it look?
The way I did this was kind of rough, but here is the summary steps.
1. First I make a new layer called "clone 2" (in clone1 I cloned out the OOF bird at bottom right corner).
2. Then I use clone stamp tool (Opacity 40% and brush hardness 0) and start cloning away the OOF bird and part of the wings.
3. Then I add black mask to the clone2 layer and use white brush (Opacity 100% and hardness 100) to start painting back the wing.
4. Since the my brush hardness was 100, the edge around the far wing does look funny, see pic below
5. So I make another layer and did the selective Gaussian blur around the funny looking wing edge to smooth it out.
