    Clear and clean image of a beautiful bird. Very good exposure on sunlit side, but wing detail is quickly lost in shadow. Perhaps a bit less contrast recovers that? Composition is slightly centered, but I really don't mind.

    Wish we had a Merlin shot this good. :)

    Nice image with excellent suggestions by Kenn. I took the liberty of processing the image the way Kenn outlined and also recropped, placing the bird higher in the frame and further to the right. How do you like it?
