    Found a solitary Curlew on the edge of Humboldt Bay in Northern California.
    Canon 50d
    Canon 100-400 @ 400
    ISO 400
    Aperature Priority
    F5.6 at 1/1,000 sec
    Early morning sunlight

    Hi Chris - I am using public computers at the moment (Traveling) so wont comment on colour etc (looks very dark on the screen I am on).
    Looks like some sweet light - Good HA and eye contact and like the raised foot. Looks like there might be a hint of a catchlight in the eye - might try and enhance it just a little.
    Like how you have left some room up front for him to walk into.

    Great find Chris Like the low angle, pose and clean bg !!!

    Agree with Lance on the look, does seem a little dark. I think the light must have been coming from the hard left making the right side dark, should be able to help some in PS !!! .. in these some fill light would help !!!

    Nice one, how did histogram look and did you apply any EV?

    Love the walking pose and the wave line at the bottom. Agree that image is a little dark, you can probably lighten up since no shadow is block (except a tiny bit around the eye which doesn't really matter).
