    Default Black-necked Stilt

I was set up on this BN Stilt nest getting images as they came over to the mud flat to feed. This female charged out of the nest to confront another BN Stilt that was getting to close. She was sure vocalizing and got her point across pretty quickly. This mud flat lays kind of weird. She just crossed a low spot and was coming up a small rise in elevation. My eye tells me more CCW rotation is needed, but in studying the other images I took I may have gone too far already.

Hope you enjoyed, C&C always welcome.

    Jason:

Such striking birds. The light was a little harsh and well off to your right, but I think you handled the exposure well. After hearing the story, the crop makes perfect sense, since she is doing her talking to defend her space, and needs the room to vocalize into!

Perhaps a sliver more space below for the 'virtual feet' The rotation looks OK to me.

A little tight in the frame as Randy mentioned, and the light looks a little harsh and comes from a less than ideal angle. Do like the open bill, and thanks for sharing the story.
