Nice techs to protect highlights, sweet composition and nice detail (was this HH). Maybe a little less perch, it's all about feel in this regard - well done.

Great eye and sensor was on the correct spot - I do not mind the HA, it appeals to me.

Good processing Gus !!! Very appealing and agree with Jeff on the HA, birds seems to be focused on something. bg wise might have been better all dark but do like it as presented !! ... you got one amazing yard !!!!

    Hi Gus
Great perch! Very nice feather detail. I like the bird's posture. Overall the composition grabs the viewer's attention, I think.
The light seems a bit too contrasty (or over-saturated?) with the whites on the breast pretty close to the top maybe. Could be the image seems contrasty because of the black bg? Probably a matter of personal taste though, as is the bg. I keep looking at the bg and trying to figure out what it is, for me it seems a bit unnatural and distracts from the bird.
I do love these guys, they seem like the epitome of the Arizona desert.
    Cheers

Hi Gus - like this a lot - although I do agree with Gail on my screen does look a little contrasty.
Dont mind the HA - Good eye and catchlight.

    Hi Folks
I agree with all of you, thanks for your kind comments, it was midday, sun at my back, Agave Century plant contrsting the dark BG under the trees.

Tried to bring all your comments together, however, with my eyes not up to full strength I hope I at least got close?

    Best regards

Nice repost, not sure I understand the term "contrasty"?
