    This male and his lady Wood Duck - also called Maned Duck and you can see why - are currently raising nine ducklings on a friend's 11-acre property in the heart of the Blue Mountains. They are semi used to people so were not too perturbed with me laying a few meters away as they passed on by.

    Nice one Akos! She looks quite alert. I like the three grass strands below, but would smooth out the pale OOF 'X' in front of the bill. I wouldn't mind a bit more room above. Is the mane always visible like this, or is it a field mark that is only sometimes raised?

    Akos, another wonderful head shot from you. This is a very lovely lady with plenty of detail. Love the green BG and I see what Dan is talking about with the X. Congrats
