Pretty cool capture and sidelighting is fine IMHO. Since part of the right wing is clipped, I feel an even tighter comp would be more effective. :)

I agree with Akos about going ahead and creating a tighter crop on his left wing.
For my personal taste, the side lighting is so strong that too much of his face/body are shaded.

It looks like perhaps the focus point was on the breast rather than the eye, based on relative sharpness.

The exposure was good.
