    Dear all
    This image is dedicated to Mumbai.
    To all who lost there life in 11/26 terrorist attack on Mumbai and to those brave Police man and national security gurds who gave their life so we can live peacefuly.

    Great image and good head angle. This bird has a really long tail feather for a hawk.

    Beautiful image Harshadbhai! Love the right foot balancing like that. :) Nice dedication too, we had friends in Mumbai at that time. They got out safely, but only just.

    Ben, this bird is a Montague's Harrier female (Circus pygargus) as stated in the caption. All Circus species have long tails as do true Hawk species (Accipitors). Unfortunately in America you call Buteo species, 'hawks' - they do have short tails and are really Buzzards.
    I hope this helps.

    This is a beautiful, well detailed image with a great pose from the bird.
