    Captured this one after an unsuccessfull attempt to catch a fish at Mankwe hide in the Pilanesberg National Park.

    Well captured, Gerrie. I like the eye contact & nice catchlight in the eye, going by all the KF posts & own attempts it is not easy to get the eye clear from the surrounding black feathers. Nice underwing detail and sun on the body. Have to find time to visit Mankwe hide again:)

    Hi Gerrie, that 300mm sure is sharp. Great timing for the landing, and I like the wingspread here. There are areas on the chest that look a bit hot, and I would remove the second catchlight. Im with Betsie, have to get back there as soon as the water level rises again. Cheers.

    Superb stuff. I like the spread out wings. The water droplets add to the image.

    Super timing Gerrie. great pose showing both wings spread out. Comp works well. Some good advice from Stu.

    How sick is this Gerrie? An incredibly well-timed landing mate. Agree with removing second catchlight. I am in awe man!
