Made this last week in Bangalore, India, a day after heavy rains here. Light was dull, hence bumbed up the ISO for better shutter speed. Critics & Comments are most appreciated.

    Thanks for looking.

Lovely underwing detail. Not familiar with how the 40D handles high ISO but I guess you could have upped it to about 800 without too much noise to get wingtips sharp?

I like the pre take off posture, and the overcast conditions have worked in your favour. Great BG too.

I like the take off pose. A slight head turn towards you would have enhanced the eyecontact. I would brighten it up a bit. I had a 400D and had safely used ISO 400 without too much of noise.

    Cheers,

Lovely pose and BG. I think colours look a bit un-naturaly saturated for overcast conditions.

I really like this with the slight wing blur and sense of pending flight, etc. Like Ofer, am curious about the colors too, and curious about your post-processing, etc. I also like the foreground element - gives a sense of environment in my opinion.

Sweet image Subbu! Its very warm and I like the pose. I've been leaving my 40D on ISO 400 as my default and I don't even do any noise control in PP so you should be good to go w/higher ISO. I do love ISO 200 with static subjects though. Nothing beats buttery bokeh!

I don't mind the blur on the wing tips. HA is not the best but still a keeper IMO!

Love the soft light, posture and superb OOF background.
