    As I was working on this one, I noticed for the first time since it was made, a hint of a snake lower left, but it didn't work for the comp, so I cropped it out.

    Anyone have an explanation for the two bands that show up here? There was nothing between me and the bird to be oof, so I'm stumped. I don't see the same problem in images on either side of this one.

    P.S. I would probably crop more from the right, but wanted to leave the band for folks to look at. I had a go at fixing it, but not much luck.

    I have no idea how these two bands got there but am very interested if someone else has had this problem before. I like the look back pose and would sharpen the bird a bit more and do some CW rotation.

    Not sure what is causing the bands, but the image is lacking detail.

    Ah, I forgot to sharpen it.

    I'm not sure about the rotation, the bird is leaning, but in the full frame the horizon is level.

    My guess is that you missed seeing something oof right in front of you... I do not see anything on the bird that looks really sharp so whatever it was--if it was--might have thrown off the focus.
