    Default Sandhill Crane in Flight

    Canon EOS 50D with 600mm f/4 L IS
    ISO 250 f/4.5 1/1250sec

I've enjoyed taking pictures of these guys. I'm hoping to get back to Jasper-Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area one more time before they all fly south. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Very nice composition, Rodney, and the splay of the wing tips is nicely presented.

Very nice calling/flight pose and HA. The side light turned OK here.
    Good one.

The diagonal comp, splayed-out primaries, and open beak really make the image for me, Rodney. IMO, the image would be even stronger had you had direct frontal lighting. :)

I like the calling pose, underwing details and eye contact and would try to lighten the areas on the underside that are not sunlit.

    Beautiful--the crane looks jazzed!
Very nice pose and placement in the frame.

Rodney, I like the banking angle, and good to see the open beak. He pops nicely against the clear sky, and would maybe selectively sharpen some areas of the underwing.
