    1D Mark II, Canon 500 f4, x1.4, 1/800, f8, iso 320, Miller CF tripod, Full Wimberley, hide

    This was taken about 2 years ago in the Capertee Valley NSW.
    This male is actually a tiny bird measuring around 10cm.

    ~90% of full frame

    Good-looking specimen, very nice setting, BG, sharpness and eye contact. I would only desaturate the reds on the neck a few points.

    Thanks for your comment Axel! You are absolutely right! I only saw after posting that red look a bit strange so I reduced brightness and contrast a bit - it is however a very intense red.

    Everything ties in together nicely Ofer in regards to the beautiful colors on this bird and its perch... Sweet Shot!

    I'm pretty sure it is just a sRGB conversion issue. Sometimes I keep images with intense reds in Adobe RGB to prevent losing details since most people use color-managed browsers by now.

    Great stuff Ofer. Very hard to capture that intense red but you have done an awesome job.
    BG, perch, comp. is exceptional. Well captured, especially for such a small bird.

    Beauty Ofer. As said, everything works on this with the stiking bird, buttery bokeh and sweet perch. Great shot.

    Hi Ofer. It's a beautiful bird on a great perch. Super detail and a nice exposure. In the future when reposting, try to leave the original image unaltered. Post the revised image as a reply; it's a better learning experience for BPN members. Thanks!
