Well this is another look at this Gull with some color from the distant pickle weed in the bg I always have liked these kind of backgrounds as it really gives an artistic feel to the image.:)

I like the eye contact and BG and would tone down the whites a bit more.

James - Coming through here with another fantastic shot. Bokeh is especially beautiful on this one and really adds to the razor sharp gull image.

I feel a bit tight at the bottom, but nevertheless an excellent flight image James. Love the graduated BG very much. Hats off mate! :)

Another sharp image of this gull James, and I like the slight banking angle. I would maybe try and lighten the eye if possible. Still, well captured.

    James:

Nice banking pose, like the sun angle here, just enough shadow to give definition.
The whites on the leading edge of the wing are just a bit hot as mentioned.

I agree about a sliver more room below.

    Very nice.

    Hey James,
You know I'm not going to recommend more room:D.......and I feel the white/hot leading line just further enhances the pose and suits the lighting conditions very nicely.....and it's realistic to what you actually see.....really lovin the BG too....very well done!
