Was out driving this morning in heavy fog, saw this mature buck feeding in corn stubble...had to increase my ISO to get a decent image...even still, too much noise..so I decided to use it for a painting. I used Fotosketcher 1.95 (free software) to convert to oil painting.

Nice painted feel to the image! I like the pose and eye contact of the buck. BG colors are soft and pleasing. The fog adds a nice element to the scene.

    Nice image and application, Paul.

Like the deer, as we don't have many down here. At least I haven't found them yet.

One thing is the "black" spot over the right antler. I think it is the antler, but being separated from the main antler, it looks like an imperfection. I don't know if burning in a little of the antler below it might help. The one on the left antler does not appear as bold to me. Not a big deal, just the first thing I saw when I opened the image.

Paul, Greats capture! I like the buck looking at you and the fog is cool. I might run some NR to the entire image.

Hi Paul, Love the deer's pose and nice composition. The image has a nice feel with the fog. I'm not so fond of all the noise. Running some NR on the whole image and blurring the BG a bit might help.

a beautiful look back pose in a sweet setting Paul.
Agree that the noise is a bit overpowering.
One option(IMO) is to reduce the noise and maybe add a bit
of sandstone texture for the "look".....just a thought
