Love the pose Ken and the inclusion of the Gull watching adds a lot.

Agree with David here Ken, the Gull waiting for his share really adds to this fine image with nailed exposure.

Now Ken, don't spoil them to much with all these shots of Minnie :-)

Don't remind me about that plastic bag Ken, if you remember, I went back with ***** & Lisa to retrieve it, the stench of the rotting whale is something I will NOT forget.

Having a bit more room to breathe Ken, IMHO, helps the subject and as David has pointed out, the inclusion of the Gull just adds that 'cherry'. I can't comment on colour/sharpness as I am away again and judging this on the Macbook, (even on a 17inch ;-)).

Agree on the gull's inclusion. I suggest that cropping more off the right side out and going for a more vertical crop will strengthen the interaction.

I am posting from a laptop in a car so limiting my review to the composition.

    Ken,
I can't believe that you find plastic bag even there. The gull adds to the image. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

Neat shot and I like how the gull is watching. Seems like the whale may be a little past fresh based on the look on her face.

    Sabyasachi,

I am afraid to say that there is a lot of rubbish up there, fishing nets, floats and the inevitable plastic, also lots of timber you can see a piece just up and to the left of the gull.

    Steve,

The whale was certainly past its sell by date, and looked quite tough.

Thanks for your kind comments, it was a sighting I will remember forever.
