    I like the idea of a gull with a city as the bg but I think this one is too large. If you'd been further away and the gull had been perhaps above the buildings or even it this gull had been above the buildings it might have worked. As it is, I think the buildings (especially the bright area behind the gull) distract from the gull. The gull looks pretty good but would have been better with a little light on the eye. I think you're coming up with some good ideas for your images.....they just have to be tweaked.

    The buildings don;t bother me if that is the intent of the composition, an urban scene. Unfortunately, the gull is not ideal-contrasty, looking wrong way, eye not pleasing. Good idea though.
